Wembley Complex wins 2009 national environmental award

The Australian EMS Association announced the winners of the 2009 Environmental Management Systems awards at the National EMS conference held in Bubury, WA. “The Awards seek to highlight the achievements of EMS users, and demonstrate that both environmental management and profits can co-exist in the one approach,” said Mick Dawes, EMS Association Vice-President. Darren Wilson     (pictured below) from Wembley in Western Australia has been an e-par member since 2006.  Andrew Smith wins AGCSA 2009 Claude Crockford Environmental Award

Andrew Smith, Superintendent at Yamba Golf Club in NSW has won the AGCSA 2009 award for environmental excellence. An e-par member since 2007, Andrew over the past 18 years has proven you don’t need a big budget in order to be proactive when it comes to effective golf course environmental management. Andrew's management practices are focussed on ensuring the optimal health of the local estuarine system and protecting and enhancing the course's native wetlands. Superintendent Kenton Boyd wins AGCSA 2008 Claude Crockford Environmental Award

Before a sod was even turned at Magenta Shores Golf and Country in NSW, environmental stewardship has been a principal guiding element. In his role as golf course manager, Kenton Boyd has embodied that ethos from construction through to its day-to-day maintenance. e-par ® Wins Three Environmental Awards

EBS is pleased to announce that e-par® has won 3 significant environmental achievement awards at the Newcastle and Hunter Environmental Achievement Awards.

Judged by Newcastle City Council, The Department of Environment and Conservation (formerly EPA) and Harris Wheeler Lawyers, e-par® won the following awards for environmental excellence:-

This award was for products or services which benefit the environment.

“ Best Environmental Policy and Planning”
This award was for policies, strategic plans and environmental management systems that improve environmental performance.

“Division Winner – Business and Government”
This award determined e-par® as the best environmental management product in the Business and Government category

ATS - Australian Technology Showcase

The Australian Technology Showcase program is a promotional and networking government program targeted at small and medium sized Australian business enterprises with innovative, cutting edge technologies. This Australian Technology Showcase program is managed in NSW by the NSW Department of State and Regional Development.

Membership of the Australian Technology Showcase is targeted towards Australian technologies that have global marketing potential.

e-par has been awarded membership of the Showcase.

USGA - Green Section Record  July-August 2007

In an article , "A new standard for environmental management is coming,"  Professor Bob Carrow from the University of georgia and Mr Kevin Fletcher     Executive Director Audubon International reported,

"Environmental Business Solutions, (Australia) developed the e-par program in conjunction with the AU EPA and Australian Golf Course Superintendents Association, and it is the most advanced program applying the EMS concept to golf courses in the world."
