e-par recognises individual environmental expertise

  • Environmental management will play an ever increasing role in the golf industry for Superintendents.
  • Currently there is an environmental management skills gap in the industry.
  • Environmental management is a critical skill in short supply within golf.
  • The industry is looking for individuals with recognised environmental management skills.
  • The need now for Superintendents with environmental competence is greater than ever.
  • Superintendents with an environmental management credential can distinguish themselves from the rest.
  • Superintendents with  expertise in environmental management will be highly sought after.

The e-par EMS Professional Personnel Certification has been developed in conjunction with industry stakeholders to provide assurance that an individual possesses the competencies deemed necessary to perform the job function of an e-par EMS professional.
This certification has been developed in compliance with the ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024:2003 General Requirements for bodies Operating Certification Systems of Persons standard. ISO 17024 is the global benchmark for organisations operating personnel certification programs and outlines the methods and procedures required to ensure the objective and unbiased assessment of a candidate’s knowledge, skills and abilities.

Passing the e-par EMS Professional examination will indicate that the candidate possesses the knowledge, skills and abilities to work in the role of a e-par EMS Professional.

Congratulations to Assistant Superintendent Simon Brown from Long Reef Golf Club on achieving Certification as an e-par EMS Professional. Simon is the only candidate to have achieved the perfect score in his formal certification examination.

With Certification as an e-par EMS Certified Professional Simon and other certified professionals can now formally demonstrate their environmental management professionalism, their advanced level of skill, experience, and understanding in a way that sets them apart from the rest. Many job ads are now including e-par EMS knowledge and expertise as a requirement and this certification of environmental expertise meets that criteria. The Certification certainly also adds value each individuals professional credibility, expertise and profile.
